Do you know how dehumidifiers work? The warm and humid air enters the Shinco home dehumidifier through the grill on the back, then moves over the cold coil, which condenses the water out of the air. The water collects on the pipes and drips down into the bucket for later removal. The dry air is reheated and blown back into the room by the compressor.

Before using, keep the Shinco dehumidifier standing upright for 24 hours before plugging it in. Clean the bucket with potable water every two weeks to avoid scale breeding bacteria. Clean the air filter with water at least once every 30 days to maintain efficiency, ensuring the filter is completely dry before reinstalling.

For storage, make the dehumidifier work in the indoor drying mode. Then cover the dehumidifier with a plastic bag after cleaning the main unit, bucket, and air filter, and store it upright in a dry, well-ventilated place.
